Let’s begin with our approach to our remodeling business.

During construction problems can arise. How we solve the problems, together, is what will make the difference.

In our remodeling business, we think our character is the most important thing about us.

To us, character means:

  • If we’ve made a mistake, we fix it.
  • We tell you everything, and sometimes the things you’d rather not hear—like “this remodeling project will require a building permit.”
  • All of our work is done above board, on the up and up.
  • We don’t accept cash, all checks are made payable to our company.
  • We pay our bills, and have excellent credit references to prove it.
  • In fourteen years of our remodeling business, not one of our clients has ever been left with incomplete project.
  • We put all agreements in writing for you.
  • If we say we will, we do. This isn’t negotiable.
  • We have respect for others—not only for our clients, but also for our employees, trusted tradesmen and supply houses. Their roles are vitally important in your project’s success.

g-portraits-jeffhall2Jeff Hall is the Owner and President of Villa Builders. Jeff has been in the building business his entire adult life. He began as a carpenter in Texas. After moving to Maryland, he was a director of project management for an Annapolis home builder-developer. Finally, he established his own company, Villa Builders in 1997.

For the last six years, Jeff has made an annual trek, to various places along the east coast, with the WoodsWork Youth Group. For 10 days, he leads teams of high school students to construct 2-3 homes for Habitat for Humanity projects. This is a highlight every summer for Jeff.

g-aboutus-JoanneJoanne Hall is Villa’s Marketing and Administration Manager and is married to Jeff. Prior to working with Villa, Joanne was working as a team leader for SECU Credit Union in their loan servicing department. She left SECU in 2003 to join Villa and give Jeff the help his growing business needed.

Joanne and Jeff are able to work together because their roles within the company are clearly defined. She facilitates communications between Jeff, field employees and Villa’s homeowner clients. This provides customers with complete access during the work day.

 

She does many things behind the scenes that might be important to you—like maintaining insurance certificates, making sure bills are paid, collecting waivers of liens after payments are made, and taking care of all things marketing—just to name a few. We hear repeatedly that our customers feel taken care of and trust us to manage and communicate the details of the project for them.

 

Jeff and Joanne enjoy running. They both participated in the Baltimore 2010 Half Marathon last October. They covered the first 4 of the 13.1 miles together, before Joanne encouraged Jeff to run ahead and have an awesome race. Both finished their runs very close to their time goals.

When they aren't working or running, Jeff and Joanne enjoy sailing, reading and watching great movies.
